SpiritWorks was contacted by the Virginia Renaissance Faire to
construct a period-appropriate turf maze/labyrinth prior to the 2007
season.
After much research (thank you, Jeff Saward), we proposed
creating 2 labyrinths; a classic 7-circuit (Labyrinth of Love) turf
maze using embedded stone flush to the ground, and a 3-circuit
medieval (Shepherd's Race) labyrinth as part of the children's area.
The Virginia Renaissance Faire, in operation during 5 weekends in
May and June, is located on Lake Anna Winery leased to the
Virginia Renaissance Faire. The labyrinths are open to the public
after the Faire is closed.
Please contact the Faire (703) 508-5036 if you plan to walk the
labyrinth, so they can coordinate with Lake Anna Winery.
