SpiritWorks of Virginia created a labyrinth as part of
First Night Fredericksburg activities.
With the help of Jan Rodefer (from Cuyahoga Falls, OH), Randy created
a 7-Circuit medieval (Chartres)-style Labyrinth on property owned by Dr.
& Mrs. Wheeler, across the street from the Central Rappahannock
Regional Library on Caroline Street, Fredericksburg, Virginia.

The paths of this 72' labyrinth were 48", with the total distance walked (in
and out)
equaled 1860' (over 1/3 mile).

Due to high winds (30-35mph with gusts above 40 mph), it was
impossible to use luminaries on the labyrinth (the path was marked with
flagging tape, so the labyrinth was able to be walked
).

With such high winds, I could not keep any information from blowing
away, so a table was set up with basic information taped to the table top.

It appears that some walked the labyrinth in the week it was laid out.  I
am affirming next year will be "brighter".

Thank you again to Dr. & Mrs. Wheeler for the use of their property.
