SpiritWorks of Virginia is dedicated to providing meaningful
spiritual experiences through the use of labyrinths by facilitating
Labyrinth walks, promoting the labyrinth at local events, and
providing labyrinths created by Randy for use by local
organizations.
Through the labyrinth, SpiritWorks of Virginia is dedicated to
exploring the use of labyrinths in meaningful ways as a means
of healing, inner reflection, contemplation, and community.
Using labyrinths is not just a religious or spiritual experience, it
is an opportunity to journey - with ourselves.
It is the desire and hope of SpiritWorks of Virginia to have and
make labyrinths available in healthcare settings (hospitals and
clinics), parks, schools, churches, gardens, and private settings;
helping to create meaningful dialog with oneself. Many find
gardens to be a peaceful and restful location for contemplation,
or just an opportunity to "smell the roses". Labyrinths can offer
the same experience, be it with a permanent structure, a
portable labyrinth created on canvas and used regularily, a
temporary labyrinth created just for a few hours, or a small
hand-held labyrinth the size of a compact disk or dinner plate.
It's all about the journey - the path. It twists, turns, and
seemingly goes in circles. It's beautiful, and yet, sometimes
scarey because of the unknown.
